Accomplishments
Why send me back to the DNC?
At every opportunity, I voted for the reforms that empowered our grassroot delegates and will continue to do so. One of the biggest changes to our party structure was having automatic delegates not vote in the first round in contested presidential races. I voted for and supported those reforms in 2018 and I want to work to make these changes more transparent to our party and the DNC more responsive to our delegates.
Platform & Accomplishments

- Making the DNC more responsive and more transparent.
- Working with our DNC Members and DNC Staff on resolutions that promote Democratic values and ideas from your feedback.
- Working at the state and local level to support candidates and important ballot initiatives (including Initiative 89 for Abortion rights, and Amendment 64 as a volunteer circulator).
- Knocking on doors, making phone calls, writing texts, sending post cards, and being in the direct work of democracy alongside everyone together.
- Volunteering with and for my local Democratic Party in Weld County.
- Contributing funds when I can to the party.
- Never giving up and being a life-long Democrat since I registered at the age of 18.
Resolutions
The Resolution Process is an important mechanism that allows us to bring the ideas from the grassroots base to the DNC. There are (3) major Resolutions I sponsored last year and if our Colorado State Convention Delegates send me back, I plan on continuing this process.
As these have already passed, I encourage you to read the final Resolutions Committee Publication from our last meeting and make use of them from Colorado to across the party nationwide. Here's are some brief highlights of some resolutions and initiatives that I sponsored and worked on directly at previous DNC Meetings.
- Resolution Regarding Dark Money (Resolution #19)
- Resolves that we go beyond merely overturning Citizens United and work on constitutional amendments that eliminate private financing of elections.
- Resolves that members of the Democratic National Committee build campaigns that are not dependent on dark money to be viable.
- Resolves that we pass laws to ensure accountability and transparency and implement financing systems that encourage candidates to avoid dark money contributions.
- Resolution for Climate Action (Resolution #4)
- Resolves that polluters should be held responsible for meeting strong standards to protect our environment and not preempt local government decisions about energy production.
- Acknowledges that communities of color bear a disproportionate amount of the social and environmental harm of pollution.
- Resolves that the DNC reaffirms its commitment to advancing environmental equity across the United States.
- Co-sponsored this Climate Action resolution, written by DNC Chair Jaime Harrison in Support of President Biden's Ambitious Climate Agenda.
- Resolution to Protect and Expand a Free and Open Internet (Resolution #18)
- Urges our leaders to consider legislation that explicitly protects the privacy and civil rights of American citizens and consumers over corporate profit.
- Affirms the commitment of the DNC to Net Neutrality, the right to fix our hardware devices and software, and a Free and Open internet where connectivity to internet is not blocked.
- Resolves that state parties across the country consider where Free and Open Source Software can be used more in day-to-day operations.
Passing these resolutions is where the work of politics and experience comes into play. The Resolution Regarding Dark Money was done with hours left before the Resolutions Committee deadline for the October 2023 DNC Meeting. It took over a year to pass. I wasn't sure I could get it done, but I drew from the inspiration of current and former colleagues and all the work they have done to transform the DNC to make it more responsive.
If you re-elect me on April 13th, 2024, know that I will keep supporting you and bringing these efforts forward.
